Name: Newton Road Project
Description: The homeowner was elderly and disabled and unable to leave her home because it was not handicap accessible. Rebuilding Together built her a ramp so that she was no longer a "prisoner in her own home". This afforded her independence, quality of life and accessibility to the community.
"Allow me to thank you and Rebuilding Together for constructing a ramp for my disabled mother Katherine. It was one of the kindest things anyone has done for her. For years it was very difficult for her to go outside because she was in a wheelchair. Thankfully the ramp gave her easy access to go inside and outside her home. The last day she spent at her home she went outside to do some gardening from her wheelchair. It was because of the ramp that she spent her last moments at home doing what she loved. I am most grateful for that gift!" - Carl
